Bespoke Weddings from $600

You’ve got the perfect venue in mind, and are planning a wedding that includes friends and family, and maybe even your dog.

You want your guests to share in your love story, and to be part of a ceremony that is engaging, exceptional, and unforgettable.

Here’s the process for planning a bespoke wedding service: We connect – in person or virtually - and get to know each other (you are in no way obligated to book me as your Officiant).

We discuss the process of creating your ceremony together, including timelines

  • If you’d like to proceed, I request a 50% non-refundable retainer to secure my services

  • You have limitless support from me

  • I ask you both to complete a questionnaire that provides insight for creating your personal ceremony

  • I share my resources, including vow samples, ritual ideas, readings and music suggestions

  • I create a first draft/outline for your review

  • Together, we share edits and revisions to finalize the perfect ceremony script

  • Your wedding day! I arrive early to coordinate with your suppliers and the wedding party, making sure everyone knows what to expect

  • I perform the ceremony, complete all the paperwork, and legally register your marriage licence

Elopements from $500

It’s the two of you – maybe you’re beside a lake, deep in the woods, in a favourite coffee shop, or in the comfort of your own backyard; along with two witnesses you are going to make it official and get married.

A private ceremony for the couple and two witnesses, elopements can include exchanging vows and rings at your chosen location.  A wonderful alternative to City Hall, couples arrive with the marriage licence and two witnesses at the predetermined location.  No witnesses? Let me know.

Just The Paperwork from $300

Perhaps you’re planning your perfect wedding on a far-away beach, but want to ensure that you are legally married at home. Maybe your dream wedding includes a friend performing your ceremony, but they aren’t licenced to legally perform marriages.

In this case, only the basic legal expectations from the Marriage Act of Ontario are stated, and the paperwork is processed with speed and ease. Couples arrive with the marriage licence and two witnesses at the pre-determined location.  No witnesses? Let me know.

To ask questions or confirm availability, please send your date, time, and location to: laura@truenorthceremonies.ca

Giving Back

Weddings are celebrations of love and commitment and are genuinely one of life’s most joyful experiences. Sadly, not everyone has a happily ever after. Women’s Resources of Kawartha Lakes is a not-for-profit, charitable organization created and run by local women. For 30 years, Women’s Resources has been providing programs throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes to ensure that abused women and their children can get the help they need to lead lives free of abuse and violence.

For every marriage ceremony I conduct, I make a donation to Women’s Resources of Kawartha Lakes

Travel

The prices listed are for ceremonies within an hour of Lindsay, Ontario; I cover 50 km, and charge .65/km for additional mileage. I am happy to provide a quote for travel outside of this area.

Photography

I would love to share photos from your ceremony through the website, social media, and advertising of True North Ceremonies. If you would prefer that I don’t, please let me know.
